Global Software firms seeks a Sr Network Engineer.
This is a permanent salaried position based out of Toronto. This is a hybrid office schedule, candidates must be commutable to Toronto.
Compensation includes base, bonus, equity, retirement plan, pto, and much more!
Responsibilities:
Implement enterprise network solutions to support the reliable delivery of products and services as well as meet the goals of the business.
Provide support for enterprise local and wide area networks and related technologies by maintaining, monitoring and securing the network infrastructure, responding to incidents, performing root cause analysis, problem resolution and participating in on-call duties.
Configure, maintain and administer enterprise level firewalls, network switches, routers, load balancers, VPNs, telecom related services, etc.
Work with network tools for administration, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting and analysis.
Follow ITIL practices for Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, etc.
Participate in technology security reviews, audits, client RFI/RFPs and client due diligence questionnaires.
Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communications.
5 years of network infrastructure planning, implementation and support of complex and highly available environments.
Demonstrates capabilities for troubleshooting in complex enterprise environments.
Takes a logical approach to analyzing problems.Systematically researches information.Explores alternatives and implements action plans to resolve problems.
Strong working knowledge and troubleshooting experience with TCP/IP, IPsec, routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF and HSRP), Cisco/Arista routers (Nexus 9K/7K, ISR4400/1000), Nexus Technologies (OTV, VPC), Cisco/Arista switches, firewalls (Palo Alto, CheckPoint), F5 Technologies (GTM, LTM, APM, ASM), Citrix NetScalers, Versa SD-WAN, Aruba Wireless, Automation Scripting (Ansible, Teraform) and network management (Grafana, HPNA/WCNA, OpManager, Phantom) in medium to large corporate environments.
Security awareness and vulnerability management.
Able to work and manage responsibilities in a high pace environment, adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities and ongoing change.Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proactive in acquiring information to develop new skills to improve job performance.Grasps new material quickly and easily, and applies new information, concepts and procedures in a constructive manner.

Strong knowledge of network security.

Ability to work in a local and global team environment.
Beneficial
Prior networking experience in the financial industry (Mutual Fund environment).
Beneficial areas of certification include Cisco (i.e. CCIE), Palo Alto Firewalls, Versa SD-WAN,network security and network automation tools.
SDN Experience (NSX, ACI, VXLAN).
Private Cloud Networking and Automation.
Leadership and project management skills.
Unix/Microsoft NOS proficiency.
