Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Field Service Technician to join our team. This role focuses on the startup, service, and maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment, including RTUs (Rooftop Units), AHUs (Air Handling Units), chillers, and other complex systems. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in one or more areas, such as HVAC equipment startup, commercial HVAC service, or controls startup and programming. This position requires strong technical skills, a commitment to quality service, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, including RTUs, AHUs, chillers, and associated components.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Program and configure HVAC control systems, including troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and system tests to ensure reliability.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams for equipment installation and service.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical information, provide recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to resolve complex system issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system performance.
- Stay current on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in HVAC equipment and controls.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working in various commercial settings.
