2HB Incorporated is seeking a Data Scientist in order to support its government customer in McLean, VA.
This government office seeks to minimize risk in supply chain activities by anticipating issues, responding to concerns, and advising decision-makers on risks. The Sponsor accomplishes its mission by working collaboratively with mission partners for the safety and security of the government organization. The Sponsor is a forward-leaning, multidisciplinary group of supply chain, technology, and analyst experts leveraging all-source threat reporting, industry best practices, and lessons learned from offensive operations in order to identify risks and champion mitigation strategies for a secure and resilient global supply chain. The government's office researches and analyzes potential supply chain events looking for any nexus to any foreign services, generates collection requirements to close supply chain gaps. This office promotes robust awareness and integrates analytic assessments in order to support supply chain operation executors and consumers. The Government seeks a Data Engineering support to focus on collaboration with team members and the Sponsor to implement analytics and a web-based user interface which supports discovery of threats and anomalies.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE
The Candidate shall ensure, for the duration of the contract, that contractor personnel assigned to work under this contract maintain institutional knowledge and competency level necessary for all required skills, to include demonstrated on-the-job experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Linux, Unix, or Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Demonstrated experience with building and optimizing big 'data' data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
- Demonstrated experience with building, testing, and maintaining database pipeline architectures.
- Demonstrated experience with build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
- Demonstrated experience with manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
- Demonstrated experience with data warehousing solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in developing data validation methods and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated experience with compliance, data governance, and security policies.
- Demonstrated experience with working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to include data parsing, transformation, schema analysis, and query/analysis.
- Demonstrated experience with SQL and working with relational databases.
- Demonstrated experience using Python, JavaScript for web/html development. Demonstrated experience using big data tools.
- Demonstrated experience with program management framework.
HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE
Skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not required include:
- Demonstrated experience working on Amazon Web Services environments or other cloud service providers (CSP) environments.
- Demonstrated experience building, instrumenting, and monitoring analytic pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience using Python to deliver operational ML capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience with distributed data and data computing tools.
- Demonstrated experience with the Amazon Web Services infrastructure or other cloud service providers (CSP) infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience with the data science capabilities native to Amazon Web Services or other cloud service providers (CSP).
- Demonstrated experience working with Linux command line (bash).
- Bachelor or Master' Degree in an IT discipline
