We're hiring a skilled Water/Wastewater Estimator with experience in municipal infrastructure, treatment plants, and pipeline projects. This person will lead the development of detailed estimates for water and wastewater construction projects throughout California.
What You'll Do:
- Review civil/mechanical plans, specifications, and RFP documents.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work.
- Analyze and quantify excavation, concrete, piping, pump stations, and treatment systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and procurement teams to refine bid strategies.
- Maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships for competitive pricing.
- Utilize software such as HeavyBid, HCSS, or similar for estimate preparation.
- Attend job walks and assist with bid clarifications and scope reviews.
What You Bring:
- 5–10 years of estimating experience in water/wastewater or heavy civil construction.
- Strong understanding of underground utilities, pump stations, and treatment plant systems.
- Familiarity with public works bidding processes and documentation.
- Proficiency with estimating tools (HeavyBid, Excel, etc.).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet tight deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
