Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Waterproofing Estimator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for commercial and residential waterproofing projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in waterproofing systems, excellent analytical skills, and can work collaboratively with project managers, vendors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and competitive waterproofing estimates and bid proposals.
- Review architectural and structural drawings and project specifications.
- Perform accurate material take-offs and labor calculations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure clarity and feasibility of estimates.
- Track and manage bid documents, change orders, and revisions.
- Assist in project handoff to the operations team post-award.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in estimating, preferably in waterproofing or building envelope systems.
- Strong knowledge of waterproofing materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical specifications.
- Experience with estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
