The position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts of 8 hours per day between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM. During the seasonal period, Saturday mornings from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM may also be required. Hours may vary based on business need.
Our Warehouse Supervisor, will report to the Assistant Branch Manager and oversee:
- Preparation and Delivery of Customer orders
- Staff training and performance management
- Inventory Management
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Warehouse Safety
Responsibilities for our Warehouse Supervisor:
Maintain high customer satisfaction levels through warehouse staff performance in receiving, stocking, loading, delivery.
Inventory Management
- Ability to effectively utilize the inventory system.
- Unloading and validation of all inventories in and out of the warehouse.
- Stock product properly for inventory counts, inspection and arrange to the correct location in the warehouse as identified.
- Ensures documents accurately report inventory received or distributed following all protocol and procedures.
- Ensure that customer orders are pulled and loaded accurately and timely.
- Monitor shipments and deliveries and plan employee workloads
Customer Service
- Communicate with customers and clients to resolve any issues or problems and ensure that the orders are fulfilled
- Consult and improve processes with customer service team.
Coach/Train Staff
- Measure and address the effectiveness of employee performance and warehousing activities. Evaluate and coach team members for maximum performance management.
- Lead a culture of employee development and professional growth
- Communicate position expectations and train employees.
- Work with management teams to observe disciplinary issues, attendance, and performance of direct reports.
- Define staffing needs and allocate workload.
Continuous Improvement
- Track performance of the warehouse operations to measure results.
- Make suggestions and implement new processes.
Safety
- Lead and oversee safety rules and regulations and housekeeping standards to ensure a safe working environment is always maintained.
- Manage site safety training compliance and documentation, including MHE, DOT and General Safety Awareness.
- Ensure team members have the tools and resources necessary to focus on safety, cleanliness, and quality.
Other duties as assigned
This job operates in a professional warehouse environment. This role routinely uses power material handling equipment and ladders. This position requires moving; communicating; identifying; grasping; kneeling; crawling; reaching; carrying; stooping; crouching; standing; sitting; climbing; lifting (up to 50lbs). Sometimes disagreeable elements are present in the working environment, such as heat, cold, dampness, fumes, dust, noise, or vibrations.
Qualifications:
- At least 1-year managing employees.
- At least 1-year experience in warehouse, inventory management and/or product expediting
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to receive DOT (Department of Transportation) Medical Certification or currently hold.
- High school diploma, GED completion or equivalent
Preferred Experience:
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as warehouse computer systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems.
- 6 months or more box truck or large delivery truck driving experience
- Forklift experience
- Compactor Operation Certification
