In this role, you will apply your traditional art training and knowledge of illustration, graphic design, and computer graphics software (both 2D and 3D!) to create a visually compelling and user-friendly interface.What You Will Do : Develop and shape the UI visual design in accordance with the project's design philosophies and artistic directionConcept, iterate, and produce assets throughout all stages of development from pre-viz to final game assets and help to develop a cohesive UI style guideTake complex game mechanics and use your knowledge of good interaction design to produce creative and effective UX solutionsCreate documentation to communicate the vision, including but not limited to wireframes and flowchartsLead and mentor a team of UI ArtistsCollaborate with other artists and other dependent departments, as appropriate, throughout the production processWho Will Be A Great Fit : 10 years in creating commercial user interface designs, ideally within video gamesExperience working in game engines (Unreal, Unity, or other propriety engines), design toolsets and production pipelinesFull understanding of industry standard 2D graphics applications and prototyping tools used in UI / UX designs (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.)Excellent graphic design skills (design, layout, and typography)Highly proficient in 3D modeling fundamentals and know-how (Maya, 3DS Max, etc.)Full awareness of current trends in visual communication and how best to adapt those trendsOrganized and detailed with excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work with a high degree of self-directionShipped at least two AAA console projectStrong experience working within MayaExperience in creating motion graphicsProficient in using PerforceLove for video games (not just ours!)Along with your application, please submit a portfolio of professional or personal work samples, demonstrating successful understanding and application of industry standard practices.The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $120,810 and $161,100 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and / or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
