What We Need
The User Experience Research (UXR) group at 2K (embedded at Gearbox) employs an array of methodologies to give developers the feedback and tools to make better games. We are a team of passionate, diverse gamers who know, analyze, and play not just our games, but all games to identify trends and to go beyond the numbers to provide insight and recommendations with our research.
We are looking for a temporary User Experience Research (UXR) Assistant to help conduct and moderate playtests in our Frisco, TX research lab. This role involves working closely with research participants and other members of the UXR team. Primary responsibilities include moderating playtests, observing participant behavior, helping to conduct player interviews and group discussions, and analyzing survey feedback and other qualitative data.
We are anticipating this assignment to last approximately 6 months.

What You Will Do
- Work with UX Researchers to help conduct and moderate PC and console playtests
- Communicate instructions and provide assistance to participants
- Observe and take notes regarding participant behavior via live and recorded video
- Assist with player interviews and group discussions
- Analyze and summarize player survey and verbal feedback and other qualitative playtest data
- Contribute to research reports
- Become familiar with mechanics and features of in-development game titles
