The Community Partnership Coordinator, in collaboration with the Manager of Volunteer & Internship Programs, supports the work of 2Life’s building programs. Key responsibilities include fostering community partnerships, intergenerational programming, and community engagement initiatives.
Essential Job Functions
2Life owns and operates over 1,500 apartments, 94% of which are affordable, located on campuses in Brighton, Brookline, Newton, Framingham, and Devens, Massachusetts. Another 500 apartments are in development in Devens, Lynn, Mattapan, Newton, and Waltham, Massachusetts. We anticipate continued growth in the size of our portfolio, the geography in which we operate, and the diversity of our residents in terms of race, ethnicity, income levels, and need for supportive services. For example, in 2025 we will add a new community, Opus Newton from 2Life Communities, that creates an exciting living option for middle-income seniors.

Essential Job Functions
- Support and steward intergenerational programs, community partnerships, and volunteer activities across 2Life communities.
- Supports 2Life’s vision for a culture of volunteerism amongst the staff, residents, and community volunteers.
- Develop volunteer opportunities, recruit, and facilitate volunteer screening protocol.
- Supports community engagement and outreach strategy to connect with potential partners and recruit effective volunteers.
- Maintains volunteer database and online portal by adding new volunteer opportunities, managing sign ups, and updating contact records.
- Tracks the impact of community partnership programming, including maintaining accurate records of scheduling and attendance.
- Evaluates contribution of volunteers and community partnerships on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and implements improvements as needed.
- Supports administrative tasks in preparation for group service days and volunteer appreciation events.
- Attends one-time resident events as needed to support staff and/or community members who attend.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional setting.
- Customer service and nonprofit experience a plus.
- Fluency in Russian, Cantonese or Mandarin, a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively, take initiative, multi-task.
- Be a creative thinker and problem solver and willing to work as an integral team member in a collaborative manner.
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Proficient in office software: word processing, spreadsheets, internet usage, social media, salesforce or other CRMs.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours, as events require.
- Have sufficient transportation to travel as needed between all seven 2Life campuses.
