Job Summary
As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing care and support to individuals in need, such as those with disabilities or the elderly, to help them lead a fulfilling life.
Duties
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide support in a group home or community setting
- Work with individuals with various needs including seniors, people with autism, or those requiring hospice care
- Engage in social work activities to promote social interactions and emotional well-being
- Assist with heavy lifting and transferring of individuals when necessary
- Aid in meal preparation and feeding as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in a related field such as nursing home care, hospice care, or senior care is preferred
- Knowledge of basic nursing practices is a plus
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals in need
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and their families
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
