Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Assist clients with mobility, including lifting or transferring individuals as needed.
- Ensure adherence to resident rights by promoting dignity, respect, and independence.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Respond promptly to client needs and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
- Implement first aid procedures when necessary and maintain a safe environment for clients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or home care is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and direct support services.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and first aid practices.
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to upholding them.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
- Ability to lift and assist clients as required, ensuring their safety during transfers.
- Basic understanding of social work principles is a plus.
- Must be reliable, compassionate, and possess a strong work ethic.
