Summary
We are looking for passionate and creative early childhood educators to join our teaching community. 2nd Pres believes learning starts with safe and healthy relationships between teachers and children. From there, our curriculum is a balance of developmental milestones and supporting children's interests through hands-on, experiential learning. We serve children 6 weeks through kindergarten and utilize our beautiful building and outdoor campus for all ages.
The position of Teacher in Training is an important role in the early childhood environment as teaching is a team effort.The Teacher in Training will work alongside the teachersto implement a variety of daily activities which include observing, supervising and educating children, organizationalduties, and optimizing the learning and play environment while also meeting the childcare health and safety standards.S / he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment.
Teacher in Training must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed.

We are seeking reflective Teachers in Training for the 2025-2026 school year for our classrooms, as well as a position in our Extended Day program. This is a Teacher in Training position from 8 : 45 AM - 3 : 15pm. Our program runs from the end of August through May, and we follow a traditional school calendar including Christmas and Spring break. Our staff and faculty receive a paycheck year-round.
Duties
- Assist the Co-Teachers in implementing activities on the lesson plan and following the daily schedule.
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transitions.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations and implement health, safety and sanitation procedures throughout the day.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Develop positive relationships with the children, staff, and parents.
