We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage accounting responsibilities related to payroll, financial reporting, and flux analysis.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage payroll accounting entries in the general ledger and ensure proper accounting for payroll-related expenses, including salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations related to payroll, including accrued liabilities and payroll taxes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct flux analysis to monitor and explain fluctuations in payroll expenses month-over-month, helping to identify discrepancies or trends.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual payroll-related reports for management, including forecasts and variance analysis.
- Support year-end payroll tax reporting and compliance, including preparation of W-2s and 1099s.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure alignment between employee records, benefits deductions, and payroll processing.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies, providing guidance on complex payroll issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and company policies.
- Work closely with the finance team to provide insights into payroll trends and recommend improvements to payroll and accounting processes.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and flux analysis reports.
