What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linux Analyst II position at 3 Squared Technology?
The Linux Analyst's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Defines, designs, develops, and implements computer applications and solutions that are functional and satisfy both management and end-users, optimize the efficiency of an organization, and are suitable for the organization's workflow and production, using modeling, information engineering, and cost-based accounting.
- Evaluates present applications used by the organization and upgrades or enhances existing programs.
- Conducts surveys to in order to consider user needs and captures marketing research data.
- Oversees the implementation of computer solutions by managing Programmers, Coders, and equipment vendors to ensure the design is properly executed in a timely manner and stays within budget.
- Conducts research on new technologies to provide more efficient support.
- Defines and enhances computer applications used in the organization, working closely with management in order to know the plans and goals to make immediate developments on the system.
- Provides support to intranet and Internet maintenance and developments.
- Ensures that the system is secure, and the network is well filtered.
- Tests and integrates programs.
- Records procedures and solutions and writes and stores all the documentations of the existing communication and data systems.
Requirements
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
Candidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum.
Candidate must have an active DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II
Candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in the following:
- Assessing organizational needs, determining functional solutions, and identifying upgrades/enhancements to include new
technologies. - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and ability to perform system administration in RHEL environments
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Experience with Cloud One AWS systems
- Active NIPR account and a current CAC
- Experience patching and troubleshooting government cloud-based systems
- Experience installing and configuring software without external connectivity
- Experience with PowerShell
