Position Summary: 
Seacoast Field Hockey is looking for an experienced coach/manager to assist in organizing and supporting club teams, skills programs, and youth development. This position will support Seacoast’s Massachusetts teams, part time coaches, and families in the programs with communication, securing fields/ courts, scheduling, and other duties as assigned.  

The ideal candidate values ongoing education and is committed to fully participating in all aspects of the club organization.  The Assistant Director will be expected to work in-office two days a week and remote work three days a week, with some travel on weekends throughout the year for coaching and trainings. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Assisting in hiring, supervising, and ensuring on time payment of part time coaches.  
  • Create additional Programming to promote SFH to all levels of play to assist in creating interest in joining the club.  
  • Coordinate team divisional alignment, tournament selections, securing facilities, and practice schedules. 
  • Communicate with coaches, players, and families.  
  • Create a positive training experience for the players and their families. 
  • Recruiting Coordinator MA – oversee all sports recruits pages 
  • Assist with emails, phone calls, texts, clinic/showcase recommendations  
  • Advocate for athletes at SFH with Collegiate Coaches  
  • Support Club Director in other club needs.  
 
Experience, Skills, and Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred but not required. 
  • 3 years experience in club coaching or collegiate coaching. 
  • Excellent communication skills with athletes, families, coaches. 
  • Strong leadership, assertiveness, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to make quick and logical decisions, while paying attention to detail. 
  • Advanced knowledge of field hockey preferred but not required. 
  • Level 2 USA Field Hockey Certification preferred but not required.
