Elite Homes is seeking an enthusiastic, customer service, and team-oriented Design Consultant for our Design Center located in Louisville, KY. We are seeking candidates with prior design experience to offer design guidance and product knowledge to our Homebuyers, as they make the interior and exterior selections for their dream home.
About The Role:
The right candidate has a natural curiosity to understand our customers’ needs along with the ability to execute when necessary. He or she is motivated by continuous coaching and dedicated to constantly perfecting their craft. The Designer should be someone that is collaborative, knows how to be honest, and knows to be diplomatic. They also have good communication skills, both written and oral, along with the ability to listen. This is a salaried position with bonus potential.

What Will You Be Doing?
- Assist buyers in making selections to personalize their home
- Educate the homebuyer(s) of all available options.
- Able to communicate the design center experience and the overall new home buying process
- Set expectations for the customers on interior design functions (with respect to color, functionality, budget)
- Provide complete product information detailing performance, durability, and maintenance of homebuyer(s) selections
- Ensure all customer selections and options are entered accurately into computer systems
- Manage distribution of design center paperwork
- Communicate with Sales, Purchasing, Homeowners and Trades as required to successfully execute the homebuilding process
- Other duties as assigned or expected

- Prior design related experience, with a production homebuilder preferred

- Ability to read and understand architectural and structural blueprints
- Financial knowledge as it relates to residential mortgage loans
