Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientated Japanese speaking Foreign Exchange Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Foreign Exchange Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting and servicing our Japanese small, medium and large corporate clients. You will work closely with traders, portfolio managers and the senior sales team in developing and maintaining client relationships. You will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on foreign exchange market trends, as well as for providing strategic insights to assist in decision making processes. Duties will include the day-to-day execution of FX transactions; prospecting and developing client relationships; and supporting payment investigations and resolution as needed. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a keen interest in global financial markets, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively. Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of global foreign exchange markets, including macroeconomic factors, political events, and monetary policy decisions that impact currency movements. Execute FX client transactions, including spot, forward and option trades, as well as order management and trade query resolution. Prepare presentation materials and help develop and test risk management strategies to help mitigate currency risk exposure across various portfolios. Collaborate with broader client coverage teams including relationship bankers, treasury management consultants, and credit risk managers in addressing client needs. Work closely with our internal trading, middle and back-office teams to support client trading activity. Contribute to a dynamic team environment by providing support to colleagues across all activities on the desk. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. Major or minor in economics or finance preferred. 2-4 years of experience in the foreign exchange market Preferred Qualifications: Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Japanese Superior time management, including multi-tasking abilities and prioritizing daily tasks. Quantitative skills - preferred proficiency in Excel (including VBA) and Tableau, including data manipulation and statistical modelling. Familiarity with Bloomberg also preferable. Strong PowerPoint presentation skills, with the ability to design and present information in a clear, concise, and compelling fashion. The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment while retaining acute attention to detail. Self-motivated with a keen desire to learn and contribute within a dynamic team environment.
