Building Location: 32nd Avenue Building Department: 3001030 GASTROENTEROLOGY - 32ND CLIN Job Description: Join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at Essentia Health's Gastroenterology Clinic at our 32nd Avenue Hospital Building in Fargo, North Dakota. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Flexible schedules available for 32, 36, or 40 hours per week. No weekends, holidays, or on-call rotations! Your Role: Deliver direct, hands-on care to patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors, under the guidance of RNs, physicians, and other healthcare providers. Perform clinic procedures, ensuring every patient receives top-notch care. Educate and support patients, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and feel comfortable with their care. Create a welcoming, compassionate environment for every patient, offering empathy and respect throughout their visit. Document care and procedures in our electronic medical records system accurately and efficiently. Official Job Description: Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory and/or home care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated. Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category. LPN: Minnesota LPN license required within 3 months of hire. CMA: Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire. Must pass certification within two attempts. CMA: Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire/transfer. Clinical Assistant can NOT administer medication prior to being registered as a MAIII through the ND BON. BOTH: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 3 months of hire.
