NP:  Master's degree in nursing

• Monday-Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
• Inpatient call coverage 1:2 during business hours with MD support and collaboration.
• Manage care and assist with Interventional Neurology Endovascular Procedures.
• Ability to partner with exceptional physician mentor leads in our Interventional Neurology Department.
• Clinic patients include Stroke, TIA, Carotid Stenosis, Aneurysms, and Complex Neurological Disorders.
• Volumes:
  • Inpatient: 2-4 consults per day with daily follow-up and rounding.
  • Outpatient: 8-12 patients per day

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Position requires a high level of patient-centered skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
• Prefer candidates with background/experience in Neurology or Stroke.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
• Current certification in CPR
• National certification, in applicable area.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
