Building Location: 32nd Avenue Building Department: 47591 Security Job Description: Casual position - helps fill in hours when needed. Protects and safeguards patients, staff, other persons, assets and facilities within Essentia Health. Responsibilities include patrolling the healthcare environment to deter criminal activity, identify hazards, prevent incidents and safety accidents, detect and detain perpetrators and mitigate losses from the impact of incidents. Responding to emergencies, alarms, disasters, and threatening situations with violent, dangerous or combative persons are also primary job responsibilities. Will enforce medical campus rules and takes action to maintain order and prevent disruption or interference with medical center operations. Education Qualifications: Qualifications: 18 years of age or older High school diploma or its equivalent Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Completion of the Basic Training for Healthcare Security Officers from the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security within 1 year of hire.
