FIeld Service Manager

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve rate of Bills of Materials for each job site specification.
  • Reduce the number of return trips to each job site due to EWO.
  • Manage the chargeback process for additional material sent to any site.
  • Determine the root cause for any EWO or VPO.
  • Work closely with customer to manage expectations in these areas.
  • Work closely with other department managers to reduce the BOM going forward.
• Review and understand weekly/monthly production forecasting.
• Attend necessary staff meetings. At these meetings communicate Damaged Material Report (DMR) issues, discrepancy issues from audits, inventory preparation, material issues, etc.
• Gather Feedback from Framers and Site Supervisors.
• Communicate necessary feedback with the estimation and design teams.
• Report and/or help facilitate repair requests.
• Manage the material warranty process.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Four-year degree or relevant experience
• Two to Three years of experience in the construction industry with knowledge of framing preferred.
• Strong data analysis skills
• Must have excellent mathematical skills.
• Must be able to use a tape measure to 16ths.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Great attention to details, organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Motivated to pursue improvement.
• Demonstrates initiative and assertiveness.
• Able to communicate positively and clearly with peers, managers, and internal customers.
• Knowledge in MS Office software, including Excel

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
• Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Travel Requirements:

• Travel to surrounding customer job sites across Indiana and Ohio.
• Valid Drivers License.
