Park Rapids, MN
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to contribute to the provision of high-quality dermatological care. Essentia Health is committed to providing dermatology services in the communities we serve.
- Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner candidates are welcome to apply. Preferred candidates will have two (2) years of dermatology practice experience.
- 0.8 FTE, Full-Time Status
- 3 days per week in Park Rapids HWY34 Clinic
- 1 day per week in Fosston Clinic
- Mon-Fri between 8a-5p
- 18-20 adult & pediatric patients per day
- Procedures vary per day
- 100% outpatient practice; no call or inpatient rounding
The Advanced Practice Provider utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills while working independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The APP will provide health care to individuals, emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management. The position requires high customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited program/institution.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Current licensure/ability to secure as a registered nurse in MN
- Current licensure/ability to secure as a Nurse Practitioner in MN
- Current licensure and DEA (or ability to obtain) as a Physician Assistant in the appropriate state.
- Current certification in CPR
- National certification in applicable area.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process before practice.
