Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and service, with the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves overseeing all aspects of food production, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation while managing inventory and menu planning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Plan and execute menus for daily service, special events, and banquets while considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage food supplies, and conduct regular stock checks to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Collaborate with the dietary department to create nutritious meal options that meet health guidelines.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
  • Oversee kitchen operations during service hours, ensuring timely delivery of meals and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Implement cost control measures while maintaining high-quality standards in all culinary offerings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or banquet setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and menu development.
  • Experience with inventory control systems and practices to minimize waste.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.
