Position Summary:
The Payroll Administrator will process weekly, semi-monthly, and bonus payroll. This person will be responsible to maintain employee time records in meticulous fashion. The Payroll Administrator must manage many details for each specific employee and the nuances of employee payroll records.
Responsibilities:
- Meticulously enter, maintain, and process information in the payroll system, namely, employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave, and holidays, deductions and withholdings, address changes and other information.
- Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, contributions, and other deductions.
- Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
- Issue, or reissue, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
- Record and process federal and state payroll tax deposits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least 6 months of payroll preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to learn payroll software in a timely manner.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
