32 Degrees Genuine is seeking a compassionate and skilled Trauma Therapist to join our dedicated mental health team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of trauma-informed care and exhibit a strong commitment to helping individuals navigate their healing journeys. This position offers an opportunity to support clients in overcoming the effects of trauma, promoting resilience, and enhancing overall mental well-being.

Compensation : 30 - $70 hourly DOE

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, and groups who have experienced trauma.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and trauma-focused therapy.
  • Build rapport and maintain a strong therapeutic alliance with clients, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
  • Educate clients and their families about trauma and its impact on mental health and functioning.
  • Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and referrals when needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance therapeutic skills and stay abreast of current practices in trauma therapy.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid New Mexico licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or Social Worker (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and therapeutic approaches.
  • Certification in trauma therapy modalities such as EMDR, DBT, Somatic experience, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with group therapy facilitation.
  • Previous work in a clinical setting focused on trauma recovery.
