The Opportunity

This position can be seated in either our Plymouth, MN or St Paul, MN locations, supporting our Structural Heart medical device team. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of Structural Heart disease.  We aim to lead the markets we serve by requiring the solutions we offer customers provide an improved benefit/risk profile as compared to existing standards of care; a performance threshold that by definition, guides and ensures the productive output of our engineering, business development, and clinical research efforts result in outcomes that advance the standard of care.

Our team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Demand Manager to lead the U.S. forecasting and S&OP process. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with finance, commercial, supply chain, and marketing teams to drive process improvements, product lifecycle planning strategies (including product launches and phase-outs), commercial strategy modeling, field inventory management, and the management of systems and metrics to measure performance.

We are looking for a proactive problem solver who is comfortable with ambiguity and can lead a team to achieve results. If you have a strong background in business and marketing and are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.

This is an energetic and dynamic opportunity to be at the forefront of growth in the Structural Heart division. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the US organization, driving significant improvements in our business processes, and contributing to our success.

What You’ll Work On

  •  Lead the S&OP Process: Oversee the monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process, including U.S. Demand Reviews and Regional S&OP meetings with U.S. Executive Leadership. Manage commercial KPI performance, conduct root cause analysis, and develop solutions.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Partner with key stakeholders to build consensus around forecasts, commercial plans, and action plans to address challenges.

  • Demand Planning: Develop demand plans with commercial, marketing, and finance teams based on business trends, commercial and marketing strategies, and sales pipeline over a 24 mo horizon. Create models to forecast sales, field inventory changes, product phase-ins/phase-outs, and distressed inventory risks.

  • Execution and Management: Execute approved plans, manage abnormal demand, and review and report adherence to forecasts and launch plans.

  • Scenario Planning: Utilize scenario planning to assess risks and drive informed business decisions.

  • Forecast Reconciliation: Reconcile and explain differences between S&OP forecasts and LBE forecasts.

  • Change Leadership: Demonstrate effective change leadership and build strategic partnerships to advance departmental and organizational objectives.

  • Process Development: Develop, implement and continuously optimize processes, tools, and systems.

  • Presentation and Communication: Summarize complex data and changing assumptions into concise reports, messages, and recommendations for stakeholders, including senior leadership.

  • Problem Solving: Proactively solve problems, handle unstructured challenges, and lead teams to resolve identified issues.

  • IBP Program Implementation: Implement and optimize the new IBP (Integrated Business Planning) Commercial Management Review process for the U.S. Structural Heart division.

  •  Travel for position up to 10%.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in forecasting, S&OP/IBP processes, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in excel modeling, planning systems and analytics tools.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

  • Tableau, PowerBI or other visualization tool utilization experience.

  • Medical Device experience preferred
