322 BBQ and Hill Donut Co. & Pancake House are looking for a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to lead our kitchen operations across multiple locations. This role is perfect for a versatile chef who thrives in both the bold, smoky world of BBQ and the sweet, scratch-made artistry of gourmet donuts and breakfast delights . Responsibilities :
- Run the Line & Keep It Tight Oversee all BOH operations, ensuring smooth prep, execution, and cleanup at both 322 BBQ and Hill Donut Co.
- Maintain the Standard Conduct regular line, temperature, and cooler checks to ensure top-tier food safety and quality in both BBQ and breakfast production.
- Recipe & Menu Management Work with the Executive Chef and GM to maintain and refine recipe books, ensuring consistency in our award-winning burgers, BBQ, and donuts.
- Inventory & Cost Control Manage ordering and purchasing for all kitchen operations, keeping food costs in check while ensuring top-quality ingredients.
- Team Leadership Recruit, train, and develop BOH staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented kitchen culture.
- Expedite & Execute Lead the kitchen during service, ensuring smooth coordination between FOH & BOH teams.
- Menu Innovation Assist in developing and launching new dishes across BBQ, burgers, breakfast, and donuts to keep our menus fresh and exciting.
- Safety & Sanitation Uphold all health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment at all times.
Key Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a full-service, high-volume restaurant. Experience in both BBQ and breakfast kitchens is a huge plus!
Strong leadership skills to train, mentor, and inspire a diverse kitchen team.
Expertise in cooking techniques for both smoked meats & BBQ and scratch-made breakfast items & donuts .
Inventory & cost control experience to manage food orders and minimize waste.
Effective communication skills to ensure seamless collaboration between FOH and BOH teams.
Problem-solving mindset to handle guest, vendor, and staff challenges with professionalism.
Flexibility to work early mornings (for Hill Donut Co.), late nights (for 322 BBQ), weekends, and assist across multiple locations.
Physical stamina to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
ServSafe Certification required Food safety is non-negotiable in our kitchens.
