Job Description
This position coordinates the execution of an event within our event facilities. This position ensures exceptional service by all service staff during an event. This role directs and motivates team members while personally assisting in providing high quality service based on requirements and standards. Provides clear and concise communications to everyone having ownership in the success of the event. Identifies training opportunities and plans a strategy to accomplish goals. This position is a part time role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Assists Catering Manager with all equipment inventory and supply maintenance of department.
- Coordinates bar and room setup and well as cleanup at the conclusion of event.
- Maintains a smooth workplace with staff to ensure guest experience is of service standards.
- Consults with representatives of client group or organization to execute details such as number of persons expected, display space desired, and food service schedule when on site.
- Follows department and hotel policies, procedures, and service standards. Complies with safety and security procedures.
- May be asked to drive catering vehicles.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Two years related work experience.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong competency in Point-of-Sale systems and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to food, safety and sanitation.
- Ability to work proactively and independently while fostering a workplace based on teamwork.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of standing, walking, squatting and lifting extended periods of time. Ability to read, to answer phones, to write emails and other correspondence, to work effectively in a food and beverage environment as well as office environment, and to occasionally travel (locally) to other businesses.
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- An associate degree preferably in hospitality or business management, or equivalent combination for education and experience.
- Alcohol service certification.
- ServSafe certification.
- Excellent organizational skills, strong ethics, honest behavior, ability to follow guidelines, structure and established policies.

This position reports to the Event Manager and Senior Event Manager.
