Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating memorable experiences and possess strong skills in event planning and management. This role involves coordinating various events, including banquets, corporate meetings, and social gatherings, ensuring that every aspect runs smoothly from inception to execution.
Duties
- Review Contract upon assignment, executing a flawless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales.
Plan and execute a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, private parties, etc. (heavy market segment in social events.)
- Correspond with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event.
- Conduct multi-department communication of selections and special requests via Microsoft outlook email.
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring all costs are accounted for and adhered to. Review preset menu option for large groups (12 ) offering insightful and creative solutions to ensure needs and expectations are met.
- Review final bill, resolving any disputes, and securing payment as needed.
- Implement upselling strategies to enhance event offerings and maximize client satisfaction.
- Act as a main point of contact for client throughout turnover process, up to arrival to location, and a liaison between client, and operations pre and post event.
Requirements
- (2 years) experience in events management or event planning within the hospitality industry and F&B operations.
- (2 years) experience in event planning/catering/group reservations management
- Strong knowledge of BEO distribution SOP's, catering services, budget management, moderate to low complexity event planning and timeline management.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
- Software proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Toast POS, OpenTable

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Evenings as needed
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
