As we expand our neurological health services across the Northwell Health System , the Department of Neurology is seeking a BC / BE general neurologist to join our multi-disciplinary team at Peconic Bay Medical Center (PBMC) in Riverhead, NY. Northwell Neurology offers flexible positions, which include a combination of inpatient and ambulatory responsibilities as well as neuro-hospitalist roles.
The Department of Neurology has seen tremendous growth over the past five years across all regions, with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated healthcare and wellness services. Inclusion within the service line offers the opportunity to connect with a large group of neurologists, academic teaching, world-class grand rounds, conferences, and the ability to discuss and share cases with experts in every subspecialty.
Founded in 1951 as Central Suffolk Hospital, Peconic Bay Medical Center is the largest hospital in Eastern Suffolk County, and the Eastern Hub of Northwell Health, the largest healthcare organization in New York State. As a non-for-profit 144-bed community hospital, we serve as the primary resource for advanced healthcare services for the 250,000 residents of the Riverhead area, Eastern Central Suffolk County, and Long Island’s North Fork.
