JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibilities of the Practice Manager II are to direct the business, technical, financial, clerical and nursing support of the clinic. In conjunction with the Director of Practice Management they oversee administrative functions including operations, marketing, facilities, revenue cycle, human resources, planning and development by providing day to day supervision and leadership. Supervises and manages all physician practice activities such as Associates, physician scheduling, patient throughput, billing coordination and functions, and other duties as assigned. Commonly interacts with Associates, physician, clients, patients, and other departments with service excellence. Contributes to the effective operations of the Organization by demonstrating dependability in job performance. Must exhibit the F.I.R.S.T values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
WORKING CONDITIONS, HAZARDS, AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Works is performed in an office setting. Involves contact with patients. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant and subject to interruption. Contact involves dealing with sick people. Work may require being in a stationary position for long periods of time; also moving or positioning for files and supplies. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, operate a calculator, telephone, copier, and other such office equipment as necessary. It is necessary to view and type on computer screen for long periods and to work in an environment which can be very stressful. Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently. A flexible work schedule is required.

Patients, patient's families, physicians, general public, other Associates.
EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Excellent communications to communicate with diverse customer groups; including physicians, physician assistants, advance practice registered nurses, Associates, business and community members, and vendors. Strong problem solving skills and exceptional team dynamic skills. Excellent organizational skills with intensely accurate follow through. Working knowledge of full range physician practice financial and clinical operations resulting in revenue enhancement and cost containment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
Experience:
A minimum of Associates degree plus four (4) years of ambulatory healthcare experience is required; with one year experience being in a supervisory role.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS:
AAPC preferred.
