POSTION SUMMARY
The Sales Sr. Director of Wholesale Sales is responsible for leading an incentive compensation-based sales team to ensure Evernorth Wholesale Distribution’s (EWD) Clients, Partners and ultimately all involved patients receive superior service while obtaining the financial goals set by the organization. As a key member of the leadership team, the Sales Director of Wholesale Sales, focuses on leading a team for overall client retention and growth within identified Class of Trade Segments. Leader assists with motivating, training and working with sales associates which are responsible for a book of business, as well as ensuring contract compliance. As a Leader, you will be accountable for core service delivery for CuraScript (CSD) clients working cross-functionally with all sales areas including Sales Account Management, Contract Administration, Credit and Collections, Procurement and Finance. The Sales Director of Wholesale Sales reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing.
JOB PROFILE SUMMARY
Manages a team of Sales Leaders and Wholesale Sales professionals. Responsible for attaining sales objectives for Evernorth Wholesale Distribution business unit. Develops and implements sales strategies to achieve sales growth using all available client-based ordering solutions. Coordinates all strategies, communications and the implementation of programs with other Evernorth companies. Utilizes in-depth professional knowledge and experience to set departmental goals which align with functional strategy. Focuses on achievement of departmental goals and plays a significant part in achieving functional goals. This role is eligible for sales incentive compensation (IC).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manages team leaders & individual members within their day-to-day client relationships via SalesForce.com.
- Proactively reviews performance metrics to promote client satisfaction, profitability, and retention
- Utilizes technology, tools, processes and resources to anticipate and exceed CSD clients’ needs and expectations
- Collaborates with leaders on team members activity, expectations, and service needs
- Assisting the sales associates with up-selling and maximizing the sales potential of key clients to further the efforts in gaining maximum penetration of the customers overall business potential for EWD
- Holding team member accountable to the Cigna Core Values and working within the proper policies and procedures.
- Driving sales activities to keep team member accountable to the financial goals of the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Five plus years of previous team leadership
- Demonstrated leadership and Team Management skill set
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other leaders
- Strong Communication and Collaborations skills
- Prior success in issues resolution
- Ability to operate with the highest sense of urgency.
- Ability to travel as needed
- BA/BS Degree required.
