Job Summary:
A Mixologist is responsible for crafting high-quality, innovative cocktails, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of service and presentation. This role requires expertise in mixology, spirits, and flavor pairings, along with a passion for hospitality in a refined, high-end setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Crafting Signature Cocktails & Beverage Excellence
- Design and execute a high-end cocktail menu featuring classic and innovative drinks.
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients and advanced mixology techniques (e.g., infusions, smoke, molecular gastronomy).
- Maintain consistency in drink presentation, portion control, and garnishing.
- Provide expert recommendations on food and cocktail pairings.
2. Guest Experience & Upscale Service
- Engage with guests to provide a luxury bar experience, offering personalized cocktail suggestions.
- Exhibit exceptional hospitality, professionalism, and a polished demeanor.
- Remember and accommodate regular guests' preferences and special requests.
- Uphold a calm, confident, and engaging presence even in high-pressure situations.
3. Bar Operations & Inventory Management
- Ensure full stock of premium spirits, wines, beers, mixers, and garnishes.
- Assist with inventory tracking, ordering, and cost control to maintain an efficient bar program.
- Adhere to all local and state liquor laws and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Oversee bar cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment maintenance.
4. Collaboration & Training
- Train and mentor bar staff and servers on cocktail preparation, presentation, and ingredients.
- Work closely with the chef and management to create seasonal cocktail menus.
- Assist in developing specialty drinks for events, private parties, and VIP experiences.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new spirits, and emerging mixology techniques.
Qualifications & Requirements:
✅ Experience: 3 years in a high-end bar, lounge, or fine dining environment.
✅ Knowledge: Extensive expertise in spirits, wines, bitters, infusions, and cocktail history.
✅ Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced mixology techniques (e.g., fat-washing, clarification, foams, smoke infusions).
✅ Presentation: Impeccable personal grooming and a refined, engaging guest interaction style.
✅ Multitasking: Ability to manage a busy bar while maintaining elegance and precision.
✅ Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy bottles/cases (up to 50 lbs.).
✅ Availability: Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
