Job Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to drive revenue growth, customer retention, and market expansion. This role requires a strategic and results-driven leader who can develop and implement effective sales processes, train and mentor sales professionals, and ensure alignment with the company’s business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, a strong understanding of customer-centric sales strategies, and the ability to build and maintain high-performing sales teams. This role will also leverage Traction/EOS methodologies to create structured processes, track key performance indicators, and ensure accountability across the sales organization.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve company revenue and market share goals.
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales targets and evaluating market trends.
- Utilize EOS Scorecards to track sales performance, ensuring accountability and measurable success.
- Implement Rocks (quarterly priorities) to align sales initiatives with business objectives.
- Ensure the sales team effectively positions and differentiates the company's products and services using an Experience-Based Selling Approach, focusing on how solutions enhance customers’ lives and businesses.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team focused on persona-based selling that prioritizes customer needs over price.
- Set clear performance expectations, monitor individual and team metrics, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Foster a results-oriented culture that emphasizes customer satisfaction and long-term client relationships.
- Conduct weekly Level 10 meetings to maintain alignment, address challenges, and ensure continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement processes to improve customer engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Work closely with the customer support team to ensure seamless onboarding and service transitions.
- Utilize Identify, Discuss, Solve (IDS) sessions to proactively resolve sales and retention challenges.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through partnerships and strategic initiatives.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders and partners.
- Develop and manage sales budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and key insights to executive leadership.
- Align sales activities with the company’s Vision/Traction Organizer (V/TO) to ensure consistent long-term growth and strategic execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a sales leadership role.
- Proven success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Experience in telecommunications, broadband, or related industries preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics, and pipeline management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Pay: $91,409.00 - $106,671.00 per year
