This individual is responsible for overseeing the complete process of transforming visual design concepts into high-quality physical products, specializing in retail displays, exhibitions, signage, and branded environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of production operations management expertise, technical carpentry, advanced building/fabrication skills, and a deep understanding of visual design principles.

Key Responsibilities:
Visual Design Interpretation and Translation:
- Accurately read and interpret complex technical drawings and design sketches to determine buildable solutions, feasibility, and production requirements.
- Apply practical construction knowledge to produce high-quality, tangible products.
Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Estimate fabrication time and material requirements based on drawings and sketches.
- Develop detailed production schedules that accommodate the customized nature of visual design projects.
- Manage timelines and deadlines, considering material sourcing, fabrication, finishing, and installation.
Fabrication and Manufacturing Oversight:
- Actively participate in the fabrication and assembly of visual design elements, demonstrating proficiency in carpentry, joinery, and other relevant construction techniques.
- Build prototypes and mock-ups to test design feasibility and refine construction methods.
- Balance creative vision with practical manufacturing considerations.
- Ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
Material Management:
- Source and manage a wide range of materials, including specialized materials used in visual design production.
- Minimize material waste through efficient cutting and fabrication techniques.
Quality Control:
- Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure the visual accuracy, craftsmanship, and durability of finished products.
- Verify dimensions and tolerances against drawings and specifications during fabrication.
- Address any aesthetic or functional issues that arise during production.
Team Coordination and Management:
- Lead and coordinate a team of fabricators, installers, and other production staff, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Effectively communicate fabrication requirements and construction techniques to team members.
Cost Management and Budgeting:
- Develop and manage production budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Logistics:
- Manage logistics and transportation of materials and finished products.
