Key Responsibilities of a Medical Biller: To be considered for a position with our company, you must have at least 3-5 years of experience with MediCal and MediCare billing.
- Billing and Collection:
- Oversee the entire billing and collections process, from initial claim submission to final payment.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing of all services rendered.
- Monitor medical billing information systems to ensure organized and accurate records.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries from patients, providers, and insurance companies.
- Manage and track outstanding accounts and implement strategies for timely collections.
- Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure billing practices comply with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in medical billing regulations and coding guidelines.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze billing data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential revenue opportunities.
- Prepare reports and present financial data to management.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement process improvements to enhance revenue cycle performance.
- Other:
- Liaise with patients, medical providers, and insurance companies.
- Review and approve invoices.
