Fire Sprinkler Basic Requirements/Duties
· Ensure you have reliable transportation, have time management skills, and are on time to office or jobsite as told.
· The ability to interact and communicate in a professional, positive, and confident manner.
· The ability to perform work in an efficient and organized manner.
· The ability to maintain accurate and precise documentation daily.
· Ensure all work areas remain clean, safe, an orderly from beginning of workday to end of the workday.
· Ensure all tools, equipment and supplies are taken care of, secured, and accounted for while on the job site and prior to the end of the workday.
· Understand and follow safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. Participate in weekly safety meetings.
· Ability to climb ladders, operate equipment, carry and move material.
· Ensure company provided vehicle is clean and well maintained in accordance with company policies.
Fitter/Foreman Job Requirements/Duties
· Ability to Lead, with organization capabilities and an understanding of current jobs and projects.
· Self-motivator with no supervisions required.
· Knowledge of all NFPA codes and standards.
· Help guide fellow sprinkler fitters and train sprinkler apprentices on all aspects of their job.
· Complete daily reports with owner as far as progress, possible materials needed, conflicts with design, etc.
· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction documents to ensure sprinkler system is constructed as designed.
· Ability to complete site surveys and identify code issues and solutions.
· Knowledge of and ability to inspect, install, and repair certain types of fire sprinkler systems.
· Once on site, ensure that all material listed for job is present. You will be expected to layout or store your material in a safe and orderly fashion in the designated location.
· Cut, fabricate, and install pipe as designed for fire sprinkler system.
· Install and hand a variety of pipe, sprinkler heads, fitting, hangers, ad other fire protection components in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and construction documents.
· Install and trim a variety of valves for fire protection systems.
· Ensure that daily project and task timelines are being met by end of day.
