Position Overview: We are seeking an organized, efficient, and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our gymnastics center. The Operations Manager will play a key role in ensuring smooth and effective functioning of the center, providing leadership to staff, managing logistics, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong leader with excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a passion for creating a positive and welcoming environment for all gymnasts, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Management: Oversee the daily operations of the gymnastics center, ensuring that the facility is clean, organized, and maintained to the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and supervise staff, including gymnastics coaches, front desk personnel, and other support staff. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and ensure that all staff members are providing excellent customer service and support to gymnasts and families.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Manage class schedules, private lessons, team practices, and special events. Ensure proper staffing for each event and manage any schedule changes or conflicts effectively.
- Customer Service: Serve as the point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback. Ensure a high level of satisfaction by responding to customer needs and resolving any issues promptly.
- Inventory & Equipment Management: Maintain inventory of gym equipment and supplies, ordering new items as needed and ensuring that all equipment is in safe working condition.
- Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the center’s programs, events, and competitions. Assist with community outreach, advertising, and social media strategies to attract new customers.
- Program Development: Work with coaches and program directors to continuously improve and expand the gymnastics programs offered. Ensure that all programs meet the needs and expectations of gymnasts and their families.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all staff members are trained in safety protocols, emergency procedures, and child protection policies. Maintain a safe environment by regularly inspecting the facility, equipment, and activities for any potential hazards.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with staff, families, and gymnasts, providing updates on schedules, events, and any important information related to the gym.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in operations management, ideally in a sports or recreation environment (experience in gymnastics is a plus).
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer concerns effectively.
- Proficient in office software (Microsoft Office, Google Docs,) and experience with scheduling or management software.
- Financial management experience, including budgeting and invoicing.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Background check required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move around the facility and oversee various aspects of operations.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move equipment or supplies as needed.
