Warehouse Manager - Base wage of $80,000 - $90,000
I am currently looking for a warehouse manager that is based on the eastern side of South Dakota. This individual will help cover locations in Elkton, Aberdeen, Brookings, and Mitchell. A manufacturing backgound is a big plus, but warehouse managment experince in paramount. Benefits include:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and implements policies and procedures governing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and/or supplies.
- Supports the organization's supply chain strategy through maintenance of appropriate inventory levels and timely distribution of goods.
- Tracks inventory by performing physical counts and verifying information against warehousing systems.
- Responsible for Warehouse productivity tracking, to meet customer schedules and maximize operational efficiency
- Work with the stocking crew to make sure inventory is stocked correctly
- Set picking standards and hold people accountable to them
- Oversee all aspects of the warehouse, ensuring its efficient operation and troubleshooting problems as necessary.
- Oversee all receiving and put away of all in-bound product
- Effectively manage the performance of direct reports by providing coaching, completing performance evaluations, and delivering performance counseling if necessary.
- Lead the Warehouse Team by example and clearly communicate roles and responsibilities, expectations, and deliverables. Foster a positive culture and unified workforce.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or 5 years equivalent experience
- Travel up to 25%
- Strong leadership and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with a high attention to detail
- Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND REQUIRED TRAINING
The following certifications and training, if required, will be provided by the company:
- Forklift Certificate
- Bridge Crane Training
- Fall Protection Training
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
To successfully perform the essential function of this position, employees must have the ability to:
- Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Continuously or as needed, stand; walk; use hands to finger, ability to reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl in small spaces.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles and/or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.sparency in coverage
