Night Shift Security Guard

At 360, security is about serving our guests and protecting each other in a friendly and respectful way. Each night, you will work with both the night and morning shifts to ensure that our guests feel safe and secure at our locations. You are our eyes and ears on the property! We’re looking for someone observant and assertive. We also love working with law enforcement; we hope you’re comfortable working with them as needed! You will be trained and certified as an unarmed security guard in Washington State, so if you’re looking to get into a new and growing field, this would be a great opportunity.

We have two positions open for 10 hour night shifts from 8PM-6AM. One will have 4 days a week, the other with three days a week. Shifts run from 8PM to 6AM.

Key responsibilities:

· Patrol and Surveillance: We’ll expect regular patrols around all areas of the hotel, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, parking lots, and back-of-house facilities. You will also need to ensure that all entrances and exits to the hotel are secure!

· Will go through certified training, will complete

· Will be outfitted with defensive measures

· Safety and Security Monitoring: Our properties have security systems installed, you will learn how to utilize them effectively to retrieve security footage and monitor the premises in places where you can’t always be physically.

· Guest and Employee Assistance: Provide a welcoming and friendly demeanor with guests and colleagues, answer guest questions, and escort guests as needed.

· Incident Investigation and reporting: Conduct investigations of accidents and security incidents, documenting and collecting evidence as necessary.

· Policy enforcement: enforce policies and regulations around unauthorized individuals, trespassing, and property damage or theft. Must be comfortable de-escalating stressful situations.

· We are a team! You’ll need to collaborate with the front desk and the housekeeping departments to ensure you work together to maintain a safe environment!

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent required.

· Previous security or preferred.

· Previously certified security guards preferred.

· Strong observational skills

· Excellent personal and interpersonal skills

· Ability to handle high stress situations

· Physical Fitness sufficient to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, ability to lift and move equipment if necessary.

· Basic computer skills for system monitoring and incident reporting required.

· Checking guests in and out accurately, ensuring proper credit is obtained.

· Making reservations and upselling as appropriate.

· Ensuring proper handling of credit cards, cash and other forms of billing/payments.

· Answer phone calls, proficiently use the computer and other technologies.

· Ability to act as a concierge and perform your duties while always providing exceptional guest service.

· Constantly communicate with other shifts, departments and management accurately and respectfully.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
