OVERVIEW
We are seeking a positive, professional, and pro-active person to join our administration team. The position responsibilities and requirements are as follows:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome patients, check patients in & out, answer phones and provide general front desk support
- Schedule, reschedule and confirm appointments. Prepare intake forms and create patient charts as needed
- Scan, file, and organize documents in electronic medical records (EMR) systems; maintain physical and digital chart organization
- Enter fee charges, process insurance information, handle payments and update patient records accurately
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as faxing, filing and organizing office materials
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area including organizing patient-use items
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient office operations.
- Assist doctors and other care providers as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Associate degree or higher preferred; High school diploma or equivalent minimum
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in an administrative/customer service role is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Comfortable using computers (Apple), scanners and fax machines
- Experience with Microsoft Suite is necessary
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, friendly and helpful demeanor
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Background check required prior to employment
