Our client is a privately held, growth-oriented aerospace and defense component manufacturing company. The Sales Manager will manage a small team focused on growing existing and new business for the company. This Manager and their team are responsible for generating leads and building sales pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Co-creates, implements, and leads the company's business development strategy
- Identifies prospective customer network and contacts
- Builds strategic partnerships with desired customer base and what it takes to get new business
- Understands the aerospace landscape
- Conducts market research to identify prospective customers and future business opportunities
- Contacts businesses to initiate strategic partnerships
- Provides input to help set sales development targets and quotas
- Creates proposals and quotes for prospective customers
- Attends events to nurture relationships with industry decision-makers
- Works with and influences departments such as broader sales team, marketing, accounting, and finance and operations
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 5 years of experience in inside sales, sales, or business development
- Aerospace and/or Defense experience
- Customer Account Management experience
- Experience leading a team; establishing track record of exceeding targets, KPI's, etc
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and communicate with others at all levels
- Willing to work onsite 4 days per week
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
