The Position:
The Applications Engineer plans, directs, and manages new projects by means of quoting, preparing engineering drawings, and communicating with productions teams. He or she is also responsible for assisting customers and sales representatives with technical expertise related to Birk's products.
Responsibilities include:

Provide application engineering support to current and potential customers on new projects

Perform pricing analysis and complete quotations for new projects

Provide technical support to designated sales representatives

Communicate project requirements, production schedules, and quality requirements to the manufacturing team and design engineers

Prepare engineering drawings for new projects

Plan and evaluate new projects, consulting with other engineers and executives as necessary
- Review new product plans and make recommendations for material selection based on design objectives
About You:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in an ISO certified manufacturing facility

Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

AutoCAD experience highly preferred
