Business Analyst – Financial Risk Domain
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Analysis: Assess potential risks across financial, operational, and strategic areas by analyzing internal and external data sources. Develop and maintain risk details required to build out online reports, dashboards, and risk matrices to provide actionable insights.
- Process Analysis: Identify the current-state processes, find gaps and recommend future-state improvements such as enhance efficiency, and strengthen internal/external controls. Participate in the development of risk management policies and procedures with CRO’s Risk Team.
- Agile SDLC Engagement: Work closely with business units, finance, legal, tech and compliance teams to understand business needs, build out requirement docs, translate them into user stories, prioritize the product backlog, perform testing actively contribute as part of the Agile Pod Team.
- Data Management & Tools: Utilize risk management software and other tools to track and analyze risk metrics. Support data analysis using Excel, SQL queries on databases and repositories related to risk incidents, mitigation actions, and risk assessments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the company’s risk management strategies align with industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations impacting risk management and business operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Proven experience (8 years) as a Risk Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role, ideally within a financial, insurance, or corporate environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate complex data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in risk management software, data analytics tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI), and familiarity with SQL or other programming languages is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or another regulated industry.
- Certification in Risk Management (e.g., FRM, CRM, or similar).
