The Quality Improvement Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of healthcare services within our organization. Duties
- Provides clinical and administrative support for the HEDIS Medical Records Review Project Minimum Qualifications: Formal Education Required: Associate Degree, or may substitute two years of like experience. 1. Experience & Training Required: 2. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: Concurrent responsibilities of computer processing, clerical/administrative support, typing of correspondence and reports. 3. Level of Physical Demands: a. Sit and or stand for prolonged periods of time b. Bend, stoop and stretch c. Manual dexterity to operate computer, phone and standard office machines 7. Essential Functions: The following job specific requirements should discuss the essential duties and responsibilities required of the position. They should not replicate those duties and responsibilities discussed above. 1. Supports Medical Record Review Staff through daily maintenance of databases, reports, mailings, etc. Generates and maintains reports and logs using Excel, Access, Word, SharePoint, and other identified programs/applications. 2. Follows-up with provider’s office with phone calls after records have been requested by Medical Record Review nurses 3. Performs data entry and organizes HEDIS workgroup files 4. Performs all job functions with integrity. Provides timely internal and external customer service Required Experience 3 years performing same or similar responsibilities. Relevant experience includes concurrent responsibilities of computer processing, clerical/administrative support, typing of correspondence and reports. Required Licenses and/or Certificates None required. Software and Date Entry Requirement 1. Word at an Intermediate level. 2. Excel at an Intermediate level. 3. Access at a Basic level.
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement or a related field is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.43 - $20.50 per hour
