Position Overview:
The Day Habilitation Center Program Manager is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the Day Habilitation Center, managing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to participants, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves strategic program management, staff development, participant enrollment, and building community partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Oversight and Development:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Day Habilitation Center, ensuring effective program delivery that meets the needs of participants.
- Develop and maintain the Activity Calendar, coordinating engaging and appropriate activities for participants.
Staff Management and Development:
- Recruit, hire, train, and onboard new staff, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the center's needs.
- Oversee staff performance, providing ongoing feedback and professional development opportunities.
- Verify employee hours weekly to ensure accuracy in payroll and compliance with labor regulations.
Participant Management:
- Enroll new participants and actively recruit potential participants to join the program.
- Onboard clients, ensuring they are fully integrated into the program and receive all necessary orientations and information.
- Attend and participate in client ISP reviews and meetings with support teams to ensure personalized care plans are effectively implemented.
Community and Partner Engagement:
- Establish and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance program offerings and participant opportunities.
- Represent the center in community forums and events, advocating for the needs and rights of participants.
Operational Compliance and Reporting:
- Oversee the residential program as needed and manage transportation logistics for participants, verifying transportation documentation and schedules.
- Report any Major Unusual Incidents (MUI) or Unusual Incidents (UI) as required by regulations.
- Create and submit monthly reports and complete internal audits to ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Verify documentation weekly to maintain accurate records and compliance.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage onboarding processes including conducting background checks, maintaining the database, and managing licensure and documentation such as BCI/FBI, ARCS, Rapback, and license abstracts.
Emergency and Crisis Management:
- Serve as on-call manager to respond to emergencies or critical situations affecting the center or residential facilities.
- Coordinate program activities with residential operations to ensure seamless service delivery and support.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management within a habilitation or healthcare setting, including supervisory experience.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in healthcare administration or program management. CPR and First Aid certifications required.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
