Position Summary: The Integration and Eligibility Specialist plays a key role in ensuring seamless integration of client benefits systems and managing the eligibility process. This position is responsible for configuring and troubleshooting systems, validating employee eligibility data, and providing excellent support to clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and has a strong understanding of benefits administration and HR systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Integration and Configuration:
a. Collaborate with clients to gather requirements for benefits system integration.
b. Configure and maintain integration setups between payroll, HRIS, and benefits platforms.
c. Test and troubleshoot system connections, ensuring data accuracy and functionality.
2. Eligibility Management:
d. Oversee employee eligibility for benefits, ensuring compliance with plan rules and regulations.
e. Audit eligibility files and resolve discrepancies in employee data.
f. Manage enrollment and eligibility updates during open enrollment and throughout the plan year.
3. Client and Team Support:
g. Provide ongoing support to clients regarding system integrations and eligibility processes.
h. Partner with internal teams to address and resolve client concerns or system issues.
i. Conduct training sessions for clients on eligibility processes and integration workflows.
4. Data Management and Reporting:
j. Analyze and validate employee data to ensure consistency and compliance.
k. Prepare and deliver reports related to eligibility and enrollment as requested.
l. Monitor integration performance and generate insights for process improvements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2 years of experience in benefits administration, HR systems, or a related role.
• Familiarity with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and benefits management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with data validation and reporting tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with file formats such as API, EDI, XML, or other integration protocols.
• Knowledge of benefits regulations, including ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA compliance.
• Previous experience working in a benefits administration or HR outsourcing environment.
