Job Summary:
360 Wellness is seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist who will split this role with being an Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding and insurance verification processes, specifically in therapy (physical, occupational, speech). Organization, timeliness, and multitasking will be qualities we look for in an ideal candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
- Review and update patient records with accurate insurance information
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations and verify coverage
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with medical billing team to resolve any insurance-related issues
Experience:
- Proven experience in insurance verification within a medical office setting
- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding systems
- Knowledge of insurance procedures
- Familiarity with medical records and office operations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying insurance information
