Overview
The IT Software Quality Analyst ensures that software products meet high-quality standards by identifying defects, verifying functionality, and collaborating with development teams to deliver reliable and user-friendly applications. This role is critical in maintaining product integrity and enhancing customer satisfaction through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Log, track, and manage defects using defect tracking tools. Verify fixes for defects. Conduct regression tests to ensure that new changes have not adversely affected existing functionalities. Ensure the software meets all requirements and standards before release by reviewing system requirements and tracking quality assurance metrics.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and design tests accordingly.
- Document test cases, test results, and other QA activities. Report to team on test outcomes and progress. Suggest improvements in the software development process, testing strategies, and tools to enhance product quality.
- Coordinate and sometimes facilitate user acceptance testing with end-users or stakeholders.
- The Company reserves the right to modify any bonus/commission structure prospectively at any time for any reason. A bonus/commission is not considered earned until it is paid and the employee remains with the Company at the time of payment.
- Actively supports and complies with all components of the compliance program, including, but not limited to, completion of training and reporting of suspected violations of law and Company policy.
- Maintains confidentiality of all information; abides with HIPAA and PHI guidelines at all times.
- To work remotely, it is expected you will have a reliable, nonpublic high-speed internet connection with sufficient bandwidth to participate in all work-related activities. Any interruptions in service should be immediately reported to your manager.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma required.
- 2-5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.
- ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification or equivalent is desirable but not required.
- Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with different testing methodologies (manual, automated, black-box, white-box, integration, system, end-to-end, regression, user acceptance testing).
- Ability to work independently and with other team members.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented and self-motivated.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, diagnose, and report bugs or issues.
- Anticipate needs in a proactive manner to increase satisfaction.
