Job Overview
Reporting to the Construction Site Manager (CSM) and the Construction Safety Department, the Site Safety Manager provides functional guidance and oversight for the Utility Scale Renewable Energy projects. This a 6 month long contract.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and NEC standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety practices into construction management processes.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate with insurance providers to ensure timely resolution.
- Analyze incident reports and data to identify trends and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
- Build relationships with regulatory agencies and stay updated on changes in safety laws and regulations.
- Lead safety meetings and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) standards.
- Familiarity with construction management software for tracking safety compliance.
